Gullets:   Typically, there are four different gullet widths to fit the withers
and backs of different horses.

Regular: 5-3/4"
Semi-Quarter Horse: 6" to 6-1/4"
Quarter Horse: 6-1/2"
Full Quarter Horse: 6-3/4" to 7".

These widths are built on the same angle, except the full Quarter Horse which
has a flatter angel to the bars. Any size or width gullet can be made to fit
your horse.

Skirt Shape, rounded or squared:   The skirt shape is a factor in determining
whether the saddle will be lightweight or heavyweight. This is personal
preference.

This is a simple sizing guide to help you determine the size saddle recommended
for your body size.

This is determined by this easy calculation:

Sit in a position so that your
upper leg is at a right-angle to your lower leg, then measure your upper leg
length ...from the back of your buttock to the tip of your knee. Use this chart
to determine your seat size:

Upper Leg Length          Seat Size

    Up to 16 1/2"                         15" seat
    Up to 18 1/2"                         16" seat
    Up to 20"                         16 1/2" seat
    Up to 21 1/2"                         17" seat
    Up to 23"                         17 1/2" seat
    Up to 23"                               18" seat
